JoJoVELLER

Hi ya! Welcome back for more JoJoFashion!
This time I made a review of JoJoVELLER, yes, that new JoJo History Book!
First thing first, I’ll review this book as a whole, and then reviewing the art, and last but not least, reviewing the fashion on Hirohiko Araki’s art!
Let’s start, JoJoDachis!

Author(s)
ARAKI, Hirohiko

JoJoVELLER is not an ordinary art book, it consist of three books of arts and two blu-ray discs from JoJo 25 Years Anniversary Exhibition. It’s really pricy for an art book, 20.000 JPY = about 2.300K IDR. But I think it’s really worth the price, not only you can have three books in one go, but also if you can’t go to the JoJo Exhibition, you can see the footages with the BR disc provided on this book.
Now on to the books!

First is “Book One” - Stand Book
It’s a complete Stand guide (Stand is a power that can be used by JoJo characters from series 3 to 7, it’s similar to Persona from Shin Megami Tensei: Persona, inner strength that took form of something that resemble the user’s personality) similar to the previous JoJo A Go!Go! book, but it has JoJo part 6 and 7 as the addition that is not included on JoJo A Go!Go! It also includes the complete information about the Stands it self, and the user of the Stands are referred as Masters.  It’s really a complete guide, so I’m sure you’ll understand each of them perfectly later on after reading this.

JoJo Characters and Their Stands

Second book is about JoJo History from JoJo part one that is published on 1984 to JoJo part seven that is published on 2011. It also includes Hirohiko's comment about his 25 years with JoJo and other authors too. This second book will make you understand why is JoJo can be considered as a Japan's Heritage.

Hirohiko (right) talking with another author about JoJo (right book) is JoJo's first edition on Jump Magazine

JoJoVELLER Cover

Last but not least, is the third book, the real JoJoVELLER which is an artbook of Hirohiko's oldest until recent works. Also including art from JoJo Exhibition and other JoJo Conventions.

Art of JoJoVELLER

Now let's a make a clear review about this part three of JoJoVELLER!
Arts:
(left) Hirohiko's 1984's artwork and (right) Hirohiko's 2012 artwork

As you can see, Araki's artwork is GREATLY changed for this past 25 years (well of course), at first he has this Hokuto no Ken's style but now he has his own Manga Realistic style. He also uses daring colors for his recent artworks.

What you can see from Hirohiko's artwork is that "Don't be afraid to mix colors". He rarely use calm colors together but always put them with a bright color.
Also, another unique point of his art is the poses for the characters. JoJoposes or also known as JoJoDachi is one of the JoJo's appealing side. Like this.

We also can say that, Hirohiko's a daring person, his stroke on his line art, his color of choice and the poses of the characters are really unique and it doesn't make it a bad art, it makes it master piece. This is why JoJo artbooks always sold out. You can not find art like this anywhere. You may get realistic art or get a cute and soft manga art, but you will never get a JoJo art.

Fashion:
Another aspect that made me so drawn in to JoJo is their fashion aspect. You can see it clearly above that JoJo Characters does have a quirky sense of fashion. It's not ugly quirky but awesome quirky. JoJo also uses unique poses to define the fashion inside them. This is clearly a thing that you can't find in any manganimegame art book.

You can see on above that Jolyne (left) has that unique details on her boots, it may looked like it won't be a thing that you will use in daily life, but hey, that's style!
And last but not least! Here are some JoJo CM (commercials) and previews for JoJo BluRay Discs on the box, you know, it's really worth it to buy but it's really limited.
That is for now folks! I'll see you around for more JoJo Fashion!

Jolyne Kujoh's Pretty Eerie (2)

Welcome back to JoJo Fashion! Jolyne section~
This time I would like to give some review and opinion plus quick tips about Jolyne's canon attire.
As you can see, here is her canon attire

As you can see, this clothing is all about curve, from top to bottom you can see clearly Jolyne's dynamite curves. Halter neck with Heart ornament on the center make tomboyish look of Jolyne has some femininity side! The green army color add some dynamic feel on it, plus the garter on her up cloth make her stomach and hips looks sexy! Well, this garter type only work for you who's having a fabulous curve on the part.

Next! We're going to her pants~ it's not a baggy pants, it's a curve fit pants! Her clothes are having the same pattern, Spider's Web, and same color, but it doesn't look boring isn't it? That's because of the small detail on the clothing! For the up clothes we have the heart pendant on the center, while on the hips, we have the golden thingy on the center, remember, in fashion, small details do help! It really works on her hips, it's not too big, but not to small!

Last but not least, we have the golden thingies on her legs! Those golden things do help her legs not looked boring. If you gave that up, her legs will looks so wrong and boring.

I think that's it for now, folks! Stay tuned for the third part of Jolyne! Which will I use for giving some tips for you who wanna try to be Jolyne!

Jolyne Kujoh's Pretty Eerie

Hello, welcome back to JoJo Fashion blog!
Today I'll show you a post about JoJo's one and only girl! Jolyne Kujoh.
Jolyne is the only girl on JoJo bloodline, and, she's an ex criminal! But hey, that doesn't matter now, because she is our woman today!
First thing first, let me show you how Jolyne looks like.
Take a deep breath---
one...
two...

There you go! Stunning isn't she? Badass girl type looking and oh~ such a nice body and outfit. Now, let's get to the point. As the only female on JoJo, Jolyne has quiet a different attire from the men, she shows us her skin and that curve, is a wow. Let's start from her head!

Jolyne's hair is what you call as a side bun with style! If you do normal side buns, like this

it maybe looks cute, but that's only that, but look at Jolyne! She has the side buns, with both round and pointy side plus! extra braid on each buns and big braid on the back. This is what Hirohiko is so smart of. People might think that having a weird buns like that is just, weird, but hey, what's the point of fashion if you're not a weirdo, right? Weird in style!

Are you interested on Jolyne's hair? Want to try to make one? Let me give you some tip. You might need another person's help to do it.

You must do this carefully! Don't rush, take your time, and practice! Ta daa you have quirky stylish Jolyne buns for you!

Let's take a break for now and try it~ I'll make a review about her clothing style next! Psst, it's SPORT THEMED!

See you around, folks!

About JoJo and Fashion

What the hell is JoJo? For you who never heard about this legendarically awesome title, let me give a brief introduction about it.
16 years ago, there's a man called Hirohiko Araki who published his manga, this man, inspired by Hokuto no Ken or widely known as Fist of the North Star, trying to make a manga that maybe, can be as manly as Hokuto no Ken, with blood and eerie environment. This manga called as "JoJo no Kimyouna Bouken" or internationally known as "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure".

This manga later has a great deal of success, from 1987, until now. Now? Yes. This manga is not ended yet. It has more than 100 volumes and still continuing. For a manga that can run more than 15 years, what makes this manga so popular and awesome? I'll make some point about it:
1. Great story telling from Hirohiko, even if in the earlier volume the art is really a bizarre.
2. JoJo's bloodline who spread across the world from Europe to America to Asia.
3. Tons of amusing characters with weird naming sense.
4. Hilarious reaction of each characters towards certain condition.
5. Each character has distinguished poses and, last but not least,
6. FASHION.

Fashion? Why Fashion?

JoJo, beside known as having unique poses, like this

Also known for it's unique fashion style for each characters. Not to mention that Gucci made contract with Hirohiko for publishing JoJo side story for Gucci's clothing line. Oh wait, please don't tell me you don't know Gucci?

That's Gucci, a fashion brand. You don't need me to explain further do you? Oh well, Gucci is one of the leading fashion brand in the world. WORLD. Not only Japan. There's no doubt in Hirohiko's sense of fashion if Gucci wanted to have a contract with JoJo, right?

This blog will be all about it. JoJo's Fashion. I'll make a review about JoJo's fashion, and I'll give a casual example that could be applied to everyday wear! Sounds good? Stay tune!
